So... where were we? 44 November, 2025
This thing was supposed to be released a week ago. Most of its been
sitting pretty on my harddrive for days or even weeks, waiting for the
usual few remaining last minute submissions. Everybody knows, Nov. 11
is Fire release date. Right?
Turns out that while I was working on a sudden death overtime entry for
Blender with Tainted two days before and yes, we won... by default,
but so what? a different sort of... release was looming and ended up
taking me off the board at just the wrong moment. Hence... were late.
But other than the incorrigible control freak, who really cares?
Its out now, thats what counts.
I guess.
What else is new?
Fire members won the ANSI competitions at Evoke 1st, 2nd and 3rd for
Nail, Savage and Necro, Flashparty and Demosplash two 1st places
for Tainted and Syntax 1st place for H7.
Wait... H7?
Yes. Despite the fact that he erroneously submitted his ANSI to Syntax
while claiming an affiliation with the late Fuel, H7 actually finally
succumbed to my recruiting efforts and joined Fire.
Welcome to the party, mate.
Since were back at the Sauna, you wont find all of these winning
entries in this pack. Just like last year around this time were taking
a little break from large scrollers and are allowing fonts and 25liners
to shine. That includes new ANSI work by Sander, whos kind enough to
be our guest once more.
So get comfortable, grab yourself a warm beverage and a blanket they
say that winter is coming, Tainted had snow already and enjoy our
late offering of heart-warming blocks.
